For your resume

One of my hopes for this course is that you would leave it with real and marketable skills. And that you would also learn how to write, and think, and problem-solve.  Storytelling is not just for fiction writers, it is also something used by marketing professionals, business people, doctors, lawyers, teachers--being able to tell effect stories is a large part of what people in the professional world do. Now that you are finishing up the course, reflect on what you have learned and how that has real world application.  My suggestion to you is that you can honestly add something like the description below to your resume. You will want to tailor this to your comfort level and add other skills related to digital literacy. Multimedia skills: Proficient in the use of numerous digital platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat to create compelling and short visual posts for specific audiences. Before we discuss shots, I want us to watch this short piece on storyboarding video essays here . In thinking about how to organize your storyboard of photos, images, or videos, you may also want to think about the types of shots you are using. For example, even with a group photo, you might decide you want to crop and zoom in for a close up.  These decisions should be based on the pacing of your video essay, as well as on what it is you are trying to convey to the viewer.
